Prima 2012
Helsinki, Finland
22/4/2012 - 24/4/2012
Submitted by: Martyn Eustace
There has never been a more terrifying or more
exciting time to be in the fibre-based industries. Terrifying because
virtually every aspect of our businesses is in transition - exciting
because of exactly the same thing.
Periods of great change
always present both disruption and opportunity. Over the past years much
has been talked about the challenges our industries are facing. The
paradigm shift in paper consumption, industry transfer, economic
uncertainty, and a shifting competitive landscape - all this is widely
known to all parties involved.
It is now time to talk about
solutions. Clearly, there is substantial opportunity to create entirely
new industries and reinvent existing ones. Real change is about doing
something about it.
This is what PRIMA 2012 will be about: Companies that have not failed to see the ocean of opportunities surrounding them.
"Paper is a sustainable and efficient part of modern media mix.
We in UPM are committed to paper and print and believe that printed and
digital channels complement each other, each having its strengths and
roles in the media and advertising palette of the future. The PRIMA
Conference is a forum where the hot topics of the paper industry are
discussed by experts and where the professionals have an opportunity to
exchange views with their respected colleagues. This year the Conference
takes place in Helsinki, which is also the 2012 World Design Capital.
The PRIMA Conference has always offered great value for participants, we
are proud to sponsor it in our home city." Jussi Pesonen, CEO, UPM"Why
does a bank co-operate closely with an organisation like PRIMA? Nordea
has over 100 years of experience working with this industry, and it is
one of the industries we have a global focus on - doing business with
clients all over the world. The better we understand this industry and
its development, the more we can create value for our customers. PRIMA
conferences are top quality when it comes to topics, presentations and
networking, and that is why we like to cooperate closely with PRIMA." Casper von Koskull, Executive Vice President, Nordea
