Session 1 Speakers
The day will be split into two sessions and we are pleased to announce the eagerly awaited set of speakers for session one.
Charles Jarrold, CEO, BPIF
Charles will open the session with an insightful overview of how the industry has adapted to the pandemic and what lies ahead in 2021.
Charles has ample experience within the sector and an excellent understanding of both print and digital, and a belief that these will continue to present both opportunities and challenges to the print sector.
Sue Todd, CEO, Magnetic
As the advertising community resets after the cautious months of lockdown, Sue will look at the role that magazines play in helping brands build for the future.
Sue launched Magnetic, the marketing agency for magazine media, in March 2015, to help customers get the very best return from their advertising spend with magazine media. Working with the UK’s largest consumer publishers, Sue and the Magnetic team have a remit to champion the power and vitality of magazine media.
Denise Turner, Insight Director, Newsworks
Denise will present the findings from Newsworks’ latest major research study into the value of trusted news sources as reader numbers have reached record new highs.
Denise has worked in communications research for almost 30 years and loves the fact she gets to ask why for a living. She has delivered several award-winning projects as part of her role overseeing the insight programme at Newsworks. She has also authored several books and reports on communications effectiveness.
Mark Davies, MD, Whistl (Doordrop Media)
Mark will provide insight into how the coronavirus pandemic turned out to be a tipping point for Facebook and how the audience at home taught a new generation of marketers a thing or two about print marketing.
Mark is responsible for ensuring the growth of Whistl’s door drop business, formerly known as TNT Post. Prior to becoming Managing Director, Mark occupied several key sales roles at the company, which he joined in 2003.
