The 9th of October is World Post Day – a day to celebrate the world’s postal services.
World Post Day has been celebrated across the world every year since 1969. The day marks the anniversary of the creation of the Universal Postal Union. This Union was created to allow the free flow of post across the world- a service that we may take for granted these days.
Here at Two Sides, we welcome the opportunity to celebrate such an important service. Your postal service is a vital part of the communications infrastructure. Even in this digital age, the postal service is an essential facility that benefits millions of us across the world.
Whilst many organisations are encouraging customers to move online or go ‘paperless’, consumers still like receiving post and research reveals that consumers prefer to have the choice. In fact, over 60% of people prefer to receive the statements and invoices by post rather than online. Over 80% ensure they open all of their post.
Facts like this illustrate that the postal service is still as relevant as ever and on this World Post Day we are showing our appreciation to this service. We have conducted some interesting research that has revealed some facts on how we prefer to receive our information. You can read more about this research here.
